Chiyo Mihama
Nickname: Chiyo-Chan
Even though Chiyo is only ten years old, she is a child prodigy so she skipped five years and entered high school. Besides her intelligence, she is also pretty rich. Her usual speech is adorably polite and she always uses ñMissî. Her most Traumatic moment would have to be the Yukari-Mobile. People also believe her pigtails are detachable. She isnÍt much of an athlete, but she is faster then Osaka! After high school, Chiyo decided to go to college in America.
Ayuma Kasuga
Nickname: Osaka
Osaka is a transfer student from Osaka, where her nickname comes from. One of OsakaÍs dominant personality traits is being very spacey. She moved from Osaka because she wanted a new start and to ñget it togetherî, but it didnÍt seem to work outƒ Her speech is usually polite and friendly with a light osakan accent, usually using ñ-chanî. Her most traumatic moment is killing Chiyo-Chan in her dreams. She hates spicy foods and escalators, but she likes splitting chopsticks neatly and telling horror stories.
Sakaki
Nickname: Miss Sakaki
Sakaki is the ñcool girlî of the group. She is often quiet and she is very good at sports and at school. She actually has a, somewhat scary, need for cute things. Actually, sheÍd rather be cute than cool. Her speech is normally polite and somewhat curt. Her most traumatic moment would have to be her photo with the culture fest cat suit. She also wears kitty underwear. She likes anything cute and cuddly and dislikes crowds, fan girls, eye patches, scars, and arrows.
Mizuhara Koyomi
Nickname: Yomi
Yomi has more of a laid back attitude and is the most reasonable and sometimes sarcastic. She seems to fight with Tomo a lot even though they are childhood friends. She is the most ñdown-to-earthî and normal girl of the bunch, and the most mature. She does worry about her weight a lot though.
Kagura
Nickname: Kagura
She is the most competitive and the second best athlete. She isnÍt that bright when it comes to school though. She calls Sakaki her rival and always tries to beat her athletically, but it never works out. Even though she may not like school, she belongs to lots of clubs at school.
Takino Tomo
Nickname: Tomo
The most insane one of the group would have to be Tomo. She is extremely load and hyper and sometimes she says things that donÍt quite make sense. She doesnÍt do good in school and sheÍs only a little athletic. She is definitely the most bizarre and weirdest one of the AzuManga Gang!
Kaorin
Nickname: Kaorin
Kaorin is SakakiÍs number one fan. She is very friendly and personable, but when it comes to Sakaki, she gets weird and fanatic. She usually day dreams and dreams about Sakaki. Later on, Kaorin gets put into Mr. KimuraÍs class. He seems to adore Kaorin in a very weird and scary way.
Teachers
Tanizaki Yukari
Nickname: Miss Yukari
Ms. Yukari is pretty competitive for an English teacher. Her friend and fellow teacher, Nyamo, and her are always competing and betting, but Yukari always seems to lose. YukariÍs favorite thing to do is drink and sleep. She resembles Misato Katsuragi, from Neon Genesis Evangelion, a lot.
